1. Important Medical Disclaimer

ClanCare is a family coordination and communication tool designed to help families organize care-related information for their loved ones. It is intended for personal, non-clinical use only.

ClanCare does not:

• Provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations
• Replace the judgment of a licensed healthcare professional
• Constitute a clinical record or official medical documentation
• Guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any health information entered by users

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions. In case of emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.

2. HIPAA Notice for Consumer Users

ClanCare is a consumer application and is not a Covered Entity or Business Associate under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). As such, HIPAA does not directly apply to ClanCare's relationship with individual consumer users.

However, we take the privacy and security of health-related information seriously. Health information you enter into ClanCare is stored using the security infrastructure provided by Google Firebase, our backend platform, which includes:

• Encryption of data in transit using TLS (Transport Layer Security)
• Encryption of data at rest using AES-256, as provided by Google Cloud infrastructure
• Access controls managed through Firebase Authentication and Security Rules

These security measures are provided by Google and are described in Google Firebase's Privacy and Security documentation. We do not make independent certifications beyond what Google provides.

ClanCare does not currently offer Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) for healthcare providers. If you are a healthcare provider or Covered Entity, please evaluate whether ClanCare meets your compliance requirements before use.

3. Data Security

We rely on Google Firebase for our backend infrastructure. Firebase provides industry-standard security measures including:

• TLS encryption for all data transmitted between the app and our servers
• AES-256 encryption for data stored at rest (provided by Google Cloud)
• Firebase Authentication for secure user identity management
• Firebase Security Rules to restrict data access to authorized users only

We do not store payment information. All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We never see or store your full credit card details.

Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.

4. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property associated with ClanCare — including the ClanCare name, the ClanCare logo, the application design, and all written content — are the exclusive property of Angelo Cutrona.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or commercially exploit any part of ClanCare without express written permission from Angelo Cutrona.

The ClanCare application and website are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws of Italy and international conventions.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Angelo Cutrona and ClanCare shall not be liable for:

• Any medical decisions made based on information entered or displayed in the app
• Missed medication doses, missed appointments, or any care-related oversights
• Inaccurate health information entered by users
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service

ClanCare is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
